This type of chef fish is called Pearl because of its scales that protrude like a school of pearls. That’s a characteristic that will not be found in other types of chef fish. In addition, this fish also has another special characteristic, namely the belly of the fish that bulges like a pufferfish when developing its body. This fish should not be mixed with other types of goldfish in one container because it is prone to attack. Its pearl-like sides attract the attention of other types of chef fish to attack because they are mistaken for food.
The common characteristics of this fish are having a crest for the crested pearl type and not having a crest for the mouse pearl type. The body is round and bulging, especially in the abdomen. Pearl scales are neatly arranged from the back of the head to the base of the tail. Has a complete fin starting from the upper fin, swimming fin, paddle fin and anal fin. Pearl goldfish have a fairly long and wide tail.
