Mini carp are often kept in small aquariums, but the recommended minimum aquarium size is 60 cm (24 inches). Place the aquarium in a fairly quiet place in the house, as this dwarf carp can sometimes become very agitated in situations where there is a lot of noise. In the aquarium, mini carp inhabit the middle and upper areas of the aquarium.

Selection of Dwarf Gourami Breeders

  • The male is attractive blue with an indigo red stripe on the underside or abdomen.
  • If you are going to spawn, there are diagonal red stripes on the belly.
  • The dorsal fin is red and the other fin is orange with blue dots.
  • While the female is bright yellow and the fins are more rounded.

Dwarf Guramy Fish Spawning

  • For spawning grounds, the aquarium  needs to be equipped with  floating aquatic plants.
  • Parent male and female can be mixed and can spawn en masse with a ratio of 1: 1. The eggs are floating so that males are not difficult to put them into the nest.
  • Here the male fish will make foam nests or bubble nests from their saliva, as a place for spawning and storing eggs until they hatch later.
  • Flirting and spawning will take place in this nest, and after the eggs are released and fertilized, the female sepat will be expelled by the male. As with other types of sepat, the male pearl sepat will guard these eggs until they hatch.
  • Females should be taken after they have finished spawning, while males should be taken when the larvae are able to swim.

The eggs will hatch within one day and swim freely at the age of a week. The larvae can be fed infusoria after swimming or leaving the nest. Two or three days later, the larvae can be fed with filtered water fleas and then large water fleas . For adult fish can be given silk worms or pellets.
