19 July 2022 - Kategori Blog

Mas Koki Fantail is a goldfish that is characterized by a tail that resembles a fan, therefore it is also called a goldfish fantail. This Japanese chef from Japan is often referred to as Japanese fantail by fans of gold chefs outside of Japan.

This type of goldfish originally came from China, and first entered Japan through the Ryukyu Islands (a group of islands belonging to Japan located between Taiwan and Japan). From Ryukyu, this chef was brought to Kagoshima around 1772-1781.

In Japan, the fantail ranks second as the most famous goldfish after Lionhead (lion head goldfish). The body is short and round like an egg. The tail has twin fins and is in the form of an elongated bloom resembling a veiltail goldfish’s tail (tosa goldfish = tassel-tailed goldfish).

It has an erect dorsal fin. There are two pectoral and anal fins each. Lately, there are many fantail chefs on the market with short tails. This goldfish is a common breed today. This type of fantail goldfish has been widely cultivated and is a type of goldfish that is easy to sell.

In addition to the short-tailed fantail, in the Yamagata region, Japan, a single-tailed fantail goldfish has been born, resembling the tail of a goldfish or tilapia. The new breed of goldfish nі is often called yamagata, because it was born in Yamagata.

The advantage of this goldfish is that it can survive in lower temperature water. During maintenance, the fantail goldfish is very suitable to be placed in a garden pond or backyard pond
